This movie is very good. Really enjoyable, and not just for sci-fi geeks. For one thing they didn't overdo the special effects or make too big a deal out of that aspect of the film. It really is a pretty good story and a fun film through and through. It had the obligatory love story of course, maybe they just have to throw that shit in for the girls, I don't know. I'm kind of numb to it anymore, it's such a neverending cliche. But aside from the mushy love crap and the questionable casting choices (Hayden Christiansen is just as awful here as he was in Star Wars II and III,) this is a very fun film to watch. Not a mind blowing experience, but quite fun. This is a refreshing change from the usual crap I get when I rent from the IMDB top movie lists. I guess these lists are compiled by user votes, and if that's the case I'd say most of their users are either tweens or bovine idiots temporarily bedazzled by every new piece o' crap film with million dollar special effects that oozes out that giant anus we call Hollywood. Fortunately, Jumper is capable of entertaining those of us with more than half a brain too.
